Stories to wrestle with

What we publish

What we publish

We begin with story, not message.

Ideas matter, but a novel should begin with plot. Our characters believe fiercely, argue badly, change their minds, and misunderstand themselves. We publish the struggle honestly and trust meaning to emerge from the story.

Every story finds its form.

Some stories ask to be read straight through. Others require the reader to choose, return, and discover what might have been. We choose the form that serves the work, rather than forcing the work to serve a format.

We trust the reader.

A story may offer conviction without certainty, and meaning without instruction. We believe readers can sit with tension, recognize contradiction, and we would rather leave you with something to wrestle with than tell you what to think.
